Anne McClellan
About
Ms. McClellan has been practicing medical malpractice defense for over 17 years. She represents physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare providers in medical malpractice and related litigation matters, and she has served as lead counsel and trial counsel in those matters. She has handled numerous jury trials, as well as arbitration hearings, evidentiary hearings, and mediations, obtaining defense verdicts and other favorable results for her clients. She has also obtained summary judgment in highly contested litigation cases.
Ms. McClellan regularly appears before Arizona’s licensing boards to represent clients against complaints, in disciplinary investigations, and in other licensing matters. She has appeared before the Arizona Medical Board, Arizona Osteopathic Board, Arizona Board of Nursing, Arizona Board of Dental Examiners, Arizona Board of Behavioral Health, Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners, Arizona Board of Physician Assistants, and Arizona Physical Therapy Board.
Ms. McClellan also practices in the area of legal ethics, representing attorneys and law firms in matters relating to State Bar complaints, disciplinary investigations, bar admissions, and reinstatements following disbarment.
She has been included in The Best Lawyers in America© for Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants since 2019, and she has also been named as a “Top 100 Lawyers in Arizona” by AZ Business Magazine. She has been recognized as a Southwest Super Lawyer® in Civil Litigation: Defense since 2023, previously being named as a Southwest Super Lawyers Rising Star® from 2012-2022.
Ms. McClellan is a proud graduate of the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law (Cum Laude), and she obtained her undergraduate degree from Webster University in St. Louis, MO, in Political Science/History (Summa Cum Laude). She is admitted to practice in state and federal court in Arizona.
